THE AUDIENCE OF 'TAAWDO' DOES FEEL THE EMOTIONAL HEAT...

Having been released yesterday, a new Rajasthani flick, TAAWDO, has made its indelible mark on its audience. As the word goes, it has been appreciated immensely by the people who have watched this rock-solid emotional drama. The title, TAAWDO's literal sense is soaring temperature of the sun beyond 50 degree which reflects amply throughout in the subsequent sequences of the movie.

It is worth mentioning here that the lead actress, Preeti Jhangiani who has been dabbing in punjabi films these days, has bagged best actress award for her first Rajasthani movie at (RIFF) 3rd Rajasthani International Films Festival that was organized at Jaipur between 14th to 18th January, 2017. Besides, the music director Lalit Pandit proved to be an asset for this film as he had also received award for the tuneful music of the film.

RIFF showcased Italian and French films in the foreign category in large numbers along with Hindi, Marathi and Rajasthani movies. Nowadays, lots of movies are being made especially in Rajashtani language but there are very few that win the hearts of the audience and do well at the box office. This film will certainly prove to be commercially hit after its mouth publicity.

KARAN JOHAN ACCEPTS NEPOTISM OF BOLLYWOOD OPENLY

#KJo #KaranJohar #KanganaRanaut #Nepotism #BollywoodNepotism #StarSons #Favoritism #KoffeeWithKaran

KANGANA RANAUT VS KARAN JOHAR

In the past, we have seen lots of DEBATE COVERAGE in media on Nepotism in Bollywood as we pretty often see Star sons and daughters being launched by big film makers & established production houses. Outside Bollywood, often people discuss and debate about why cannot the film makers find talent outside Bollywood.

During "Koffee with Karan" ultra-talented Kangana Ranaut, known to be bold & strongly opinionated, had alleged that Karan Johar is the flag bearer of Nepotism in Bollywood and made him speechless on the said issue. She even went ahead to embarrass him more that she would have Karan to write a special chapter on Nepotism if she ever decided to writer her biography.

Afterwards, Karan had denied all the allegation of Nepotism but an old video has surfaced that says otherwise wherein he is seen confessing about favoring star sons and daughters to succeed in life. Of late, brutally blunt Karan Johan has openly and unapologetically accepted the fact that the Ghost of Nepotism in Bollywood is a harsh reality and success of his company is of paramount importance to him and would do what he has to. Nepotism or no nepotism.

DEV ANAND'S DEBUT HOLLYWOOD MOVIE

#DevAnand #HollywoodMovies #FaliMistry #LambertoAvellana #PhilippineMovies #Filipino #ZeenatAman #KiewChinh #MissAsiaPacific

SOME HIDDEN FACTS ABOUT DEV ANAND

It was a bit of news to me when I read Dev Anand had done a Hollywood Movie in 1970 along with Zeenat Aman who had won Miss Asia Pacific title the same year and Kiew Chinh, a Vietnamese actress as two leading ladies and I am sure most of Dev's fans wouldn't know about this fact. A little probe into it made me learn a few more hidden facts I did not know about this great actor.

After Zeenat was taken on board for this English movie, she was signed for "HARE RAMA HARE KARISHNA obviously on Dev's recommendation which people mistakenly believe was first celluloid combination of Dev Anand and Zeenat. Another interesting feature of this English movie is that its cinematographer was not from Hollywood but Fali Mistry, a close associate of Dev Anand as they had done quite a few movies together by that time.

This crime thriller was produced by 20th Century Fox production, was shot in English and dubbed in Filipino language as well for its release in that country. The movies has Rolf Bayer as producer in its credits and director Lamberto V. Avellana. But as luck would have it, this experiment the film did not receive rave views and appreciation at the box office and therefore couldn't attract Dev Anand's million of fans in India. Unfortunately this movie got lost in the shining cloud of other memorable films featuring the maestro in that Golden Era of Indian Cinema.

Yet, I would like to watch this experimental film if I got hold it in the future. Born Dharam Dev Anand, he was affectionately addressed as DD in school. He has also attempted to take admission in Royal Indian Navy. He had also done clerical job in an accountancy firm in Mumbai for meager Rs. 85 to manage in his struggling period. Regarded as Gregory Peck of Indian cinema, he had had multiple onscreen affairs with his leading co-starlets. Also, he had given breaks to several film actors through his films. He was also honored with Padma Bhushan in 2001 by Indian Govt and Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002. At the age of 88 he left the world on 4th December, 2011 and his last rites were held in London itself and his ashes were brought back to India for immersion.

JOURNEY FROM SAHARANPUR CITY TO CITY OF DREAMS...

Suresh Nijhawan, an actor who had been playing various important characters like Bali, Meghnath, Raja Janak, Raja Dashrath and also Ravana in Ramlila organised by RADHA KRISHAN MANDIR CLUB, SAHARANPUR, UP during holy Navratras since 1983, had never imagined that he was also destined to play important character for Silver Screen years later.

It was a DREAM-COME-TRUE opportunity for him when one fine day he was offered to play an important character of a village Rogue from WHITE HILL PRODUCTIONS. Luckily, he had enough time for the preparation for his first movie venture as he had been well-briefed by the director over the phone about his character with shooting scripts being mailed to him. Thrilled with immeasurable excitement, he did some mental work over his look and garbs in terms of his costume & getup that would suit this character. In the film, he has been shown a sturdy ruffian father of two young troubling sons who keep harassing the villagers with the support of local MLA.

Having cropped his hair and stubble grown a few days before the shooting to look the character the script demanded turned out to be additional support as everyone liked him, look and personality wise when he reached Chandigarh to accomplish his cinematic goals. Having taken a little more brief from the director & producer he portrayed the character with ample ease. The appreciations were showered upon Suresh by the director producer. So much so, he got a promise for some character for his next movie too.

As the word goes, his co-actors were equally impressed with his acting abilities. His sequence was shot at Mosampur village, a location about 45 km from Chandigarh which is close to Ramgarh which comes in Haryana territory wise.

The key technicians of the film titled "BODH,a journey within, he has participated in, are Saurabh Sandhu (producer director), Vikram Kohli (Production head), Garry Singh (DOP), Satbeer (associate director), Shiva Bhatia (stills cameraman) and actors like, Manav Vij (main protagonist as Collector), Dilawar (as Chhajju), Dimple Dhiman (as Chhajju's daughter), Pawan Dhiman (as police Inspector) and many more.
